i have to say that i LOVE the Today show. i watch it every day while getting ready for work. i have tried to find a place to comment on nancy synermans comment about gov Chris Christie and his weight. her comment about him being the commander in chief and sending men to war was completely idiotic. so many times i watch the todays professionals segments and she often makes the dumbiest comments. please, she does not deserve to be on awesome show like the Today show. Please keep up the great work on the show, i cant see starting my day off without the today show.
Also am a faithful viewer of the Today show. However, I was shocked by Dr. Synerman's comment about religion. Starr Jones had commented how Jesus was really the reason for the Christmas season. On the air Dr. Synerman's reply was "religion is the reason for stress during the holidays". What???
i think the show was much better when anne curry was on with matt. she was a very nice person and had a lot to offer or at least they thought for many years. did anyone think the bad ratings were because of someone else on the show. but nbc wanted to get rid of her, so they did. shame on them. it's our loss. this new girl is too loud and too flashy . she doesn't impress me with knowing anything and she can read off a piece of paper, but then so can a monkey. should get ann curry back.
I have not watched since Anne left. Several other reasons - one too many talking Barbie heads, the loud (don't know the tech term) sound effects they use to punctuate different segments - its like a cymbal. And in the opening I know they are talking, but I can't make out what they're saying, so I assume they are not saying anything important and switch the channel.
I get what happened to Ann as it has been done to me and others I have worked with. Pressure from peers-adults or children-is devastating and should be considered torture. We are from the Midwest and literally grew up with Today. We have been faithful and would automatically turn to NBC for programming. Now that the true essence of the Today Show is no longer in the closet, I personally feel betrayed. Never would I have been associated with employees behaving badly; and I will not any longer. Today, I thought you were above all this until the Ann Curry scandal. Sell your ads to people who will watch - not me.
